Tokyo (September 30, 2013) - Bridgestone Corporation today announced the release of its Bridgestone Group CSR Report 2013.
The Bridgestone Group identifies CSR as a means of realizing The Bridgestone Essence, the company's corporate philosophy, and pursuing the CSR worldwide through its business practices. This report is intended to provide a better understanding of the Group's CSR activities among stakeholders who will benefit from having the information in English.
The key elements of this year's CSR Report are outlined below. The English content is a translation of the company's Japanese CSR report 2013.

1. Feature
The Group's CSR activities are introduced from three perspectives: technological innovation, business model innovation, and resolving issues faced in local communities.
<Themes>
(1) Technological innovation: Innovation in technologies that leverage the horizontal expansion of our global operations and the vertical expansion of our supply chain - extending from both upstream to downstream.
(2) Business model innovation: Business initiatives that support the safety and the peace of mind of our customers through the performance of the company's products and the value of the services we offer.
(3) Resolving issues specific to local communities: CSR activities in local communities sponsored by member companies of the global Bridgestone Group.

The report is available in three formats: printed version, PDF and HTML. The characteristics of each format are as follows.
