Tokyo (October 21, 2013) - Bridgestone Corporation announced today that the Bridgestone Group will reorganize the Group's manufacturing operations in the Huanan region of China in order to establish a more efficient manufacturing system for the production of the Group's precision office equipment products.
Bridgestone-Electro-Materials (Shenzhen) Ltd. (BEMSZ), which manufactures precision office equipment components in the Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, will discontinue production in the first half of 2014. Moving forward, production of precision office equipment components in China will take place at the Group's Bridgestone (Kaiping) Diversified Products Co., Ltd. (BSKD) manufacturing facility in Kaiping, Guangdong Province.
