Bridgestone Group Donates to Relief Efforts in the Philippines

Tokyo (November 12, 2013) -The Bridgestone Group would like to express its deepest condolences for the victims and those who lost loved ones as a result of Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the central Philippines on November 8.
Bridgestone Corporation announced today that it will donate 10 million yen to support relief efforts in the Philippines through the Japanese Red Cross Society. In addition, Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte., Ltd. (BSAP), the Company's regional headquarters for the Asia Pacific region, will donate 50,000 Singapore dollars (approximately 3.9 million yen) to support relief efforts through the Singapore Red Cross Society.
Contributions by the Bridgestone Group companies to the typhoon relief effort reflect the companies' longstanding commitment to the Philippines. The Bridgestone Group has been selling tires in the Philippines since 1953, and also operates a manufacturing facility there that produces construction materials.
On behalf of the entire Bridgestone Group, our hope is for a swift recovery of the people and the areas impacted by this devastating natural disaster.
