Tokyo (May 30, 2016) - Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that the Bridgestone-equipped vehicles "LEXUS RC F" and "TOYOTA C-HR Racing" from TOYOTA GAZOO Racing completed the Nürburgring 24-Hour Endurance Race held on May 28-29, 2016. Another Bridgestone-equipped vehicle "LEXUS RC" retired just before the end of the race.
The year 2016 is a major turning point for Bridgestone as it marks the 10th year since the Company has provided tire support to Toyota Motor Corporation's teams that compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours Endurance Race. In this year, the race was under a heavily tough condition; not only dry or wet, but sometime hailstones covered the circuit road. The vehicles supported by Bridgestone managed various troubles with strong teamwork, and Bridgestone tires specialized for the race performed well in such challenging conditions and contributed to the teams.
