Tokyo (June 30, 2017) ― Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that it has decided to increase price of winter tires for passenger cars and vans in Japan.
Since last year, prices of tire materials, such as natural rubber, the main material used in tires, synthetic rubber and other petrochemical materials, have risen and are remaining high.
Bridgestone has been working on absorbing impacts of rising tire material prices through productivity improvements, cost reductions, and other measures. However, it was determined that it would be difficult to absorb the impacts through the company's efforts alone, leading us to make the decision to raise price of winter tires for passenger cars and vans in Japan.
Details regarding the price increase are as follows.

2. Price increase ratio(Average) | :6% |
