TOKYO (July 31, 2018) — Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that F.C.C. TSR Honda France won the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) title on Bridgestone tires. This is the team’s first EWC title on Bridgestone tires.
Bridgestone has supplied tires for two teams in the EWC since last season. One of the two teams on Bridgestone tires, F.C.C. TSR Honda France, took first place in two races and kept a high score this season. With a fifth-place finish in the Suzuka 8 hours - the final race of the season - F.C.C. TSR Honda France won the EWC title.
“I am very pleased that many people supported us, we fought with Bridgestone as Team Japan, and won the EWC title at Suzuka on our home ground,” said Masakazu Fujii, Team Manager of F.C.C. TSR Honda France. “It was a tough season, but the team staff and riders became one team and everyone's support gave us energy, boosting us to the world's number one. Thank you very much to everyone who supported us.”
