Tokyo (September 13, 2024) - Bridgestone Corporation today announced that it will be exhibiting at MINExpo International^® 2024, the world's largest mining equipment exhibition held in Las Vegas on September 24-26, 2024. Bridgestone will introduce its mining solutions based on the theme of "MOVE MORE WITH LESS."

Bridgestone's solutions businesses, particularly in commercial BtoB solutions are taking on the new challenge to create value that enables customers to use its premium tire safer, longer, better, and more efficiently by amplifying value during customers "use." This growth is driven by the mining solutions business. With Bridgestone MASTERCORE^*1 as "Dan-Totsu"^*2 product at the core, the company will contribute to maximize the productivity and economic value of mining operations by fusing strong physical and digital capabilities. This evolution of mining solutions will establish our foundation for the "mobility tech business," which Bridgestone defines as strategic business that will lead to the group's sustainable growth by creating social and customer values.

At MINExpo, Bridgestone will introduce its mining solution, newly named "Smart On-site." Based on the strong foundations of trust with its customers and partners fostered through its strong physical capabilities such as "Dan-Totsu" products and field engineering services at mining sites (Genbutsu-Genba), this involves analyses of tire data which can be obtained from Bridgestone iTrack^*3, a next-generation of tire monitoring system for mining vehicles, and vehicle data and vehicle operation data shared from customers. With its unique algorithm leveraging AI, this solution contributes to the optimization of mining operation which is attentive and supportive of each customer and each mining problem. In July 2023, Bridgestone launched a new service utilizing tire durability prediction at a mine located in Chile.^*4 By expanding use of Smart On-site, the company will contribute to maximizing the productivity and economic value of mining operations by reducing tire costs and vehicle downtimes. Moreover, the company also contribute to realizing further sustainable mining operation thorough its effort to reduce environmental impact with improved resource productivity by using tires safer and longer, which reduces the number of tires used, as well as reductions in CO2 emissions by more efficient and optimal vehicle operation, which demonstrates "MOVE MORE WITH LESS."

Bridgestone will seek to amplify the value of "Dan-Totsu" products, secondly amplify the trust with its customers rooted in the "Dan-Totsu" products. And finally based on the trust of its customers that it has built, its customers will provide their tire and mobility data, and it will amplify the data value to create new value for sustainable customer success, with an emphasis of its "Bridgestone E8 Commitment." ^*5
