Message to Shareholders

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our shareholders for supporting the Bridgestone Group.

Guided by the mission of “Serving Society with Superior Quality,” Bridgestone has continued to support the mobility of people and objects since its founding in 1931 while responding to diverse evolution of society and mobility.

In recent years, our business environment has been constantly changing due to various factors such as mobility, technology innovation, sustainability, and geopolitical risks. To survive this environment into the future, we need to respond to these changes and strengthen value creation in Bridgestone Way.

In the Mid Term Business Plan (2024-2026, hereinafter, “24MBP”) announced in March 2024, under the theme of “Further focus on valuation creation”, we are executing the business shaping scenarios of “Create good business quality,” “Create good tires,” “Create good business,” and “Create new business sowing good seeds for the future.” In 2024, the first year of 24MBP, structural changes in the automotive and tire industries accelerated, which has become our new threats. In responding to this, we have positioned 2025 as “a year of emergency and crisis management,” when we will solidify our defenses while also laying foundation for our offenses, thereby paving the way forward to future growth. To solidify our defenses, we will thoroughly improve management and business & working quality. For our offenses, toward growth with quality, we will take on the challenge of amplifying value by expanding solutions for customers’ pain points during their use of tires, with a focus on strengthening our “Dan-Totsu products,” as the foundation of our value creation.

To achieve our vision of being a sustainable solutions company, the trust and empathy of, and co-creation with stakeholders is essential. Driven by the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment,” our corporate commitment, we will maximize our contributions to all stakeholders by having them empathize with our efforts and working closely with society and our partners, customers, and employees to create social and customer value, thereby enhancing our corporate value.

Bridgestone will accelerate our transformation, aiming to empower each and all to achieve their best and be essential to the future of mobility.
