Bridgestone Off the Road Tire Test Center(ORTC) located in Hofu-city of Yamaguchi prefecture in Japan was established in 1982 with the goal of performing multifaceted test and analysis of off the road radial tire, and has continued to grow and develop to meet the market’s needs.

ORTC plays an essential role in the development of off the road tires, by performing laboratory tests to assure the quality and performance of the off the road tires, before the tire’s are sent for final validation at customer operating sites.

At the ORTC, multifaceted tests and analysis of the off the road tire is performed, such as the static test, dynamic test, and cut analysis. It can test a wide variety of off the road tires including ultra-large tires with diameters of more than 4 meters.

The ORTC supports Bridgestone’s development platform for off the road radial tires, with various tests based on customer usage conditions and performance requirements, to deliver safe and reliable off the road radial tires to mining sites across the world.
