In harmony with communities

As a global organization with operations in more than 150 countries and regions, the Bridgestone Group is uniquely positioned to co-create long-term social and customer value in communities around the world.

It does so by working collaboratively with various stakeholders such as employees, partners, and customers to develop sustainable community solutions that positively impact a wide variety of cultures and address the unique challenges they face. In addition to these long-term efforts, when urgent support is essential — for example, in times of disaster — the Group steps up to immediately support communities in need. In 2023, the Group has become a member of Business for Societal Impact (B4SI) and has embarked to visualize the social impact that refers to “the changes that happen to individuals, organizations and the company, in the short or longer term, as a result of the activity” which defined in the Corporate Community Investment Framework by B4SI.

The Group aims to further increase its positive impact and demonstrate the tangible results of its efforts that lead to building trust with communities. Also, through these social contribution activities in line with their purpose and the expansion of the eight Bridgestone-like values in the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment”, the Group is committed to building safer, healthier communities and making education more accessible and inclusive for current and future generations.

Supporting communities is part of the Sustainability Framework that the Group uses to build the trust that propagates value co-creation. It also becomes a resilient fundamental that supports the Group’s 2030 Long Term Strategic Aspiration and plays an important role in more stably amplifying trust with society.
